Incoloy Alloy 825

Aleación INCOLOY 825 (UNS N08825, W.Nr. 2,4858) es una aleación de níquel-hierro-cromo con adiciones de molibdeno, cobre y titanio. El contenido de níquel es suficiente para la resistencia a la tensión de corrosión de iones de cloruro de craqueo. El níquel, en conjunción con el molibdeno y el cobre, también da excelente resistencia a ambientes de reducción tales como aquellos que contienen sulfúrico y fosfórico. El molibdeno también ayuda a la resistencia a la corrosión por picaduras y en hendiduras. El contenido de aleación de cromo confiere resistencia a una variedad de sustancias oxidantes tales como ácido nítrico, nitratos y sal oxidante. La adición de titanio sirve, con un tratamiento térmico adecuado, para estabilizar la aleación contra la sensibilización a la corrosión intergranular.
